Welcome To Perlis

As you guys know, I went to Perlis on 28/5/2012 until 2012 ( 4Days 3Nights). This camp was damn AWESOME! It's a biodiversity camp where we learn about living creatures. It took around 8hours to reach Perlis from KL. What a tedious ride -.-

When I first reach there, I was really like OMaGnesium! The buildings were green like leaves. You could count the total number of block there though.
1- Canteen
2- Blok pentadbiran
3 & 4 - Rooms / Dom

We didn't really do anything on the first day, just ice breaking. On second day, the first activity we had is 'pemantauan burung' where you will use a binocular / teropong to watch the birds. We watched the birds around the paddy fields. Some of us who are damn mischievous tried to push each other into the river LOL! I could only saw 2types of birds, burung but-but and bangau. While flora? Pokok hot dog that really looks like a hot dog. It's soft when you press it. And the funny thing is that IDK who called the paddy / padi as pokok beras... hahahahaha.

The next programme was blind trail. With yr eyes closed with a cloth, you will need to get somewhere by following the string. I am the 1st person to do it! Terhantuk at pokok twice -.- Walking inside muddy and watery place, I think so it's paya.

And then, we went for merentis bintang. Why is it merentis bintang and not hutan because the light that shone to the forest is just like stars. And therefore, it's known as merentis bintang. After jalan-jalan inside the jungle, we reached Menara Pandang. At Menara Pandang, you could see until Pulau Langkawi if it was a sunny day.

The next day, we did sample plot. It's like uhm, you will do research at certain area given by finding and observing their shits, tapak kaki and other living creatures. Then, you'll need to analyse and interpret the data given. For example, there are ants at our place of investigation. Thus, the ants function as decomposer agent. There is a tree named pokok peralahan. So this pokok, it grows. Then not long later, from the akar banir, grew another parts of the tree. In between the two trunk of the tree, there's a hole and the hole is known as telaga burung. This telaga burung functions as the place to store rain water for the birds and other living creatures to drink and bath.

After sample plot, we went for caving at Gua Kelawar. It was AWESOME AND CHALLENGING! You would need to crawl, jump, climb and maybe walk? Then, we learn about compass and orienteering. We need to get into the paya again...

At night, we need to do persembahan based on gender, group and all in 1 performance. It was a fun and joyful night although we don't have campfire.

And the next day is the day we go home. Kinda sad to leave everything there. My bed, my locker and all the faci there. Everything just happened in a blink of an eye. What I had now is an extra knowledge and memories. Once I reached KL, I feel so damn weird and awkward. Not use to see those buildings after getting close to the nature for a few days you see.... =)
